Before using the menstrual cup, sterilize it for 3 minutes in boiling water and wash your hands thoroughly with hot, soapy water.
For the first insertions it is very important to be calm and relaxed, and it is recommended to moisten the cup or use a water-based lubricant to facilitate insertion and adopt a sitting, squatting, kneeling or standing posture.
Hold the cup with your fingers and compress it. Use the fingers of the other hand to bend it lengthwise.
Hold the cup with the fingers of one hand in the lowest possible position, and insert it into the vagina obliquely towards the bottom. The ideal menstrual cup placement is lower than for tampons.
After inserting it into the vagina, release it and allow it to unfold and adhere to the vaginal walls. Check its correct placement by touching the edge of the glass.
