The active ingredient of turmeric root extract is found in its contribution of curcumins or curcuminoids present in the root of the plant. This product contains a natural extract of the rhizome or root of Curcuma longa providing curcuminoids or curcumins that contain three different polyphenolic compounds: curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, and bisdemethoxycurcumin.
Curcumin is the primary curcuminoid in turmeric and the compound for which most studies have been conducted. Standardized extracts from a plant source only isolate these desired active compounds for the final formulation, simplifying ingredient selection.

Each tablet provides:
Curcuma longa root extract from 20,000 mg of the spice
(As 500 mg of a 40:1 standardized extract)
Providing 95% curcuminoids.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans and free of lactose and gelatin.
