Vitex berries are used to prepare the extract used in herbal medicine and contain a wide range of active compounds, including flavonoids and a group of compounds called iridoids, which include aucubin and agnuside.
Vitex from LAMBERTS ® is a standardized extract equivalent to 1000 mg of dried vitex fruits. It is 0.5% agnosides which is equivalent to 0.98 mg in 200 mg of extract. Vitex can be used in conjunction with other dietary supplements such as vitamin B6 and evening primrose oil.
Few companies produce all their herbal products in extract form, but at LAMBERTS® we think it is essential to do so.
