Evening primrose oil is highly valued for its cis-gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) content. This is an omega-6 fatty acid that produces prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) with anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, and blood vessel dilating properties. Evening primrose oil has been used to treat symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome: irritability, headaches, breast tenderness, and bloating.

Warnings
Evening primrose oil should not be administered during pregnancy, lactation, or to children without medical supervision.
It should not be administered concomitantly with phenothiazines in schizophrenic patients, nor with anticonvulsant drugs, as they may increase the risk of seizures.
People with epileptic disorders should avoid use without medical supervision.
People receiving treatment with anticoagulants, antiplatelets, thrombolytics, or low-molecular-weight heparins should be monitored if they supplement with this oil.
Instructions for use
Take one or two pearls three times a day with meals.
