Each capsule of Acidophilus Extra 10 contains 10 billion live beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidus) originally isolated from humans.
To protect them from stomach acids, we use DR capsules. These innovative capsules begin to release their contents after a prolonged period of time (disintegration begins approximately 45 minutes after immediate release capsules, which do so after 5 minutes), protecting the bacteria from the degradation they would otherwise undergo in the stomach.
These capsules have a moisture content 3 times lower than gelatin capsules, further improving the stability of live bacteria and are made from vegetable cellulose, making them suitable for vegetarians.
The product is presented in a special packaging with a desiccant integrated into the inner wall that protects against humidity, since the viability of bacteria is largely determined by the humidity of the environment surrounding the capsules. This special packaging eliminates the need to include a desiccant bag inside the packaging.
Additionally, our refrigerated storage conditions for the product until it is shipped provide a greater guarantee of effectiveness for the live bacteria until the ?best before?? date indicated on the packaging. Then, once the can is received or opened, it must continue to be stored at less than 20 degrees Celsius.
There is no problem taking this product with other supplements. However, the simultaneous use of oral antibiotics may reduce its effectiveness, so it is recommended to space it out at least 2 hours from taking the antibiotic.
Due to its concentration of live bacteria, you only need to take one capsule daily.
