WELEDA was created in Switzerland in 1921 by Dr. Ita Wegman and the philosopher and natural scientist Rudolf Steiner. The doctor bought a little house in Switzerland, which in 1921 became the world's first anthroposophical clinic, currently the Arlesheim clinic.
